Fuzhou releases fish seeds in Taiwan Straits

Nearly 3.5 million fish seeds were released into the Taiwan Straits to boost conservation of cross-Straits fishery resources.

An opening ceremony for the release of cross-Straits fishery resources was held by the Fuzhou Maritime Safety Administration (MSA) at Fuzhou Majiang Dock.

Nearly 3.5 million fish seeds were released into the Taiwan Straits to boost conservation of cross-Straits fishery resources. The released seeds included 1.95 million yellow croakers, 200,000 red sea breams and 180,000 sepiella maindroni.

Chen Yide, director of the China Fishery Law Enforcement Command; Sha Zhiyi, chairman of the Taiwan Fisheries Association; Liu Xiude, head of the Fujian Provincial Department of Ocean and Fisheries; and Yan Keshi, deputy mayor of Fuzhou, attended the ceremony.
