One of the world's most influential forums is set to descend on Jinjiang, as more than 300 domestic and international businesses gather to discuss e-commerce from June 28 to 30.

The sixth APEC E-Commerce Business Alliance Forum (APEC-ECBA) will focus on how to boost trade set against preferential tariffs via cross-border e-commerce.

During the forum, the "China Report on E-commerce in 2015" will be released by Chinese International Electronic Commerce Center (CIECC). The outcome of the forum will be, as a significant part of APEC events in China this year, reported to APEC senior officials and released to 21 member economies, and is expected to have a profound influence on the e-commerce development in China and across the globe.

Liu Wenru, mayor of Jinjiang, described e-commerce as "trade on your fingertips". Liu said, "Hosting APEC-ECBA Forum will be a rare opportunity for Jinjiang to give impetus to industrial transformation and upgrading, and promote supply-side structural reform."

APEC-ECBA, proposed by China at the APEC Paperless Trading High Level Symposium in 2001, and ratified at the 13th APEC Ministerial Meeting, is now one of the world's most influential e-commerce forums.
