Even in the last minute before the closure of the International Horticultural Exposition 2011 Xi'an China, volunteers stuck to their positions at an "earnest and responsible" attitude.

Certainly, the hard work and a high sense of responsibility of the volunteers assured the normal and orderly operation and a perfect closure for the World Horticultural Expo in Xi'an. The Expo recruited 13,000 volunteers in the park and 512 volunteers at city service outlets. The volunteers in the park worked on morning and afternoon shifts on a 14-day cycle. In this case, they were divided into 13 batches and 26 groups. Each batch had 500 volunteers. They were mostly from universities in Xi'an and mainly provided eight categories of services including information consulting.

On the evening of Oct 22, the autumn rain pattered, sending a speck of cold, but Hu Yuwei from Xi'an International University, as one of the last batch of volunteers for the Xi'an Expo, was standing at her post and worked earnestly as usual. "Two weeks have passed very quickly. I have learned a lot from it," Hu said. "Tonight, on the moment when we walk out of the park, the Expo Xi'an will come to a happy close."

"The kids are really responsible in the chilly wind," said a pleasantly surprised visitor. "To our surprise, the kids born in the 1990s are so hard working!"

With the countdown of the closing ceremony of the Xi'an Expo, floats hanging slogans reading, "See You! Expo" and "Expo! Bye Bye!" moved slowly in the crowd. Volunteers stood on the floats instead of performers in gorgeous address. It is they who take good care of everything in the park. They bade sincere farewell to the Xi'an Expo with smiles on their faces.

At 22 o'clock, as all visitors, volunteers and other staff from the Expo walked out from the entrance of the park, Chang'an Tower, the symbolic building of the Xi'an Expo switched off its lamps, making a satisfying closure of the International Horticultural Exposition 2011 Xi'an China.
