Introduction: Dry landscape presents the essence of Japanese garden art. In this Garden, there is no building of any kind. The garden art in Japanese culture is fully illustrated simply by the arrangement of plants and stones. Retreat from the ups and downs created by rockwork, the overall design of the Garden is almost two-dimensional with the difference of height controlled within 50 cm. Harmonized simplicity is what the Garden want to achieve. The outer base of the Garden is arranged in the shape of the mainland China, with three stones in the center, namely standing stone, added stone, and controlling stone, representing Xi’an City. Bellow the base is “Japanese Sea”. The island-shaped design represents Mount Mikasa of Nara surrounded by the sea. Featured vegetation includes Lodgepole pine and yew.
