Introduction: The demonstrative Garden represents the valued design concept of garden and greening landscape, which integrates the aesthetic appreciation and environmental protection. The Garden reveals the recovery processes of six types of hazardous industrial waste by using six ecological phytoremediation approaches. The demonstrative Garden is built as an ecological system with many polluted spots. Each spot is covered with special vegetation with the ability of removing the hazardous substance. The six polluted spots represent brown fields of energy industry, steel industry, agriculture, mining, domestic/business pollution, and food processing industry respectively.
