Second meeting of Xi’an Horticultural Expo 2011 held in Beijing

The organizing committee of the 2011 International Horticultural Exposition, Xi’an held its second meeting on March 15 in Beijing. Wang Gang, honorary president of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, pointed out that preparations for the expo have been running smoothly and that during the final stage, more experience should be learned from the Expos held in Kunming and Shenyang by emphasizing more on the theme of living a green, low-carbon and environmental-friendly lifestyle.

The organizing committee of the 2011 International Horticultural Exposition, Xi’an held its second meeting on March 15 in Beijing.

 

“Apart from wrapping up construction, more efforts should be made in promotion and security in order to further expand its impact and ensure its success,” said Wang.

Zhao Zhengyong, governor of Shaanxi province, stressed that the committee will further check and improve the efficiency of public utilities for the Expo park and mobilize the public to participate in the event.

Jiang Zehui, director of China Floriculture Association, suggested that flowers should be the main focus of internal decoration and exhibition arrangements should show the latest trends in floriculture and high technical skills of floriculturists.
