The examination of patent application for invention procedure

Under the Patent Law, the examination of patent application for invention consists of five stages: Filing; Preliminary Examination Procedure; Publication; Substantive Examination Procedure and Granting Patent Right. Patent application of utility models and designs only consists of three stages: Filing; Preliminary Examination Procedure and Granting Patent Right, and Earlier Publication and Substantive Examination Procedure are excluded.
