Huangshan city in East China's Anhui province ranked 3rd among 60 sample cities throughout the year in a report about tourist satisfaction in 2012 released by the China Tourism Academy recently.

Statistics from the Huangshan Tourism Commission show that in 2012 Huangshan city received 36 million tourists with total tourism revenue of 30 billion yuan.

Huangshan city topped the list in regards to tourist satisfaction with a score of 88.55 in the fourth quarter of 2012. It was included in the top 3 throughout the year along with Suzhou and Shanghai. As a manifestation of a city's comprehensive strength, the tourist satisfaction indices are relatively high in eastern cities and western cities, such as Chengdu and Chongqing, and relatively low in other cities in the midwest.
