Luzhou welcomes 100,000 visitors in one day

Major tourist attractions in Hefei city welcomed a rush of tourists on Feb 13, during the Spring Festival holiday. Zhongmiao Temple and Sanhe Ancient Town along the bank of Chaohu Lake, the Wildlife Zoo and the former residence of Li Hongzhang downtown all welcomed numerous tourists.

During the Spring Festival holiday, tourists visiting Zhongmiao Temple increased. Li Jingcai and his family took a sightseeing bus around Chao Lake to enjoy the scenery. They also had lunch in Zhongmiao Temple. "Today I saw Chaohu Lake’s scenery as well as Binhu Wetland Forest Park and Changlinhe Ancient Street. The delicious lake food for lunch is especially impressive," said Li.

The newly opened southern gate of the Wildlife Zoo provides convenience to visitors. Since Feb 12, the zoo has seen visitors peak. The 500-spot parking lot was packed with cars. Jiang Hao, the deputy director of the zoo, said that on Feb 13 nearly 4,200 tourists visited the zoo, the biggest daily volume since Spring Festival.

Statistics provided by the municipal tourism bureau shows that on Feb 13, 4A scenic spots and above in the city received 58,000 visitors, up 16 percent compared with the same period last year. Income from admission tickets reached 552,600 yuan ($88,760), up 15 percent year-on-year. The agritainments in the city entertained 310,000 visitors and realized tourism revenue of 98.56 million yuan.
