Anhui Provincial Museum plans to construct a new building at Binhu New Zone, leaving the former location at Zhengwu Zone to become the Hefei Municipal Museum, according to a provincial conference on cultural relics held yesterday.

The museum will be built at Binhu New Zone and will be situated beside Chaohu Lake, north to the Memorial Museum of Crossing-Yangtze-River Battle. The planning area of the museum is about 100,000 square meters, which is twice as large as the one at Zhengwu Zone. The museum will start construction in 2014. When construction is finished, the museum at Zhengwu Zone will be moved over to Hefei.
