The longest cable-stayed glass suspension bridge in the country will be built at the Changchun Lianhua (Lotus) Mountain Shimao Ski Resort in Changchun -- capital of Northeast China's Jilin province -- according to an agreement signed on July 22.

It was signed by the property developer Shimao Group and Jilin Heyi tourism development company, according to officials.

The new bridge, with a length of about 528 meters, a width of around 3 m and a drop height of more than 80 m, has secured total investment of around 72 million yuan ($10.26 million).

Officials said construction of the bridge will be completed in November and with 3D visual effects and high-tech effects -- such as sounds, lighting and touching -- it will offer visitors unprecedented immersive experience.

In addition, a high-altitude rafting project will be offered at the resort, with an investment of around 28 million yuan. Four slideways will also be constructed, costing 6 million yuan, which will be completed in October this year.
