Changchun Ice and Snow World ready to wow tourists

The largest ice and snow park in the world – Changchun Ice and Snow World, located in Changchun, capital of northeastern Jilin province – is about to open its doors for business, according to staff.
Covering an area of 1.08 million square meters, they said the massive facility kicked off test runs on Dec 21 and will officially start to welcome tourists on Dec 28.
The must-see sculptures in the park including a 21-meter-high ice Olympic torch and a 420-meter-long ice slide.

Three huge ice creations there are expected to be certified by the Guinness World Records as world records in terms of the world’s highest ice Olympic torch, the world's longest ice slide and world's longest snow sculpture.
According to local media reports, there are 130 ice and snow sculptures in the park. A total of 300,000 cubic meters of ice and snow were used in their construction.
