Construction work on Changchun Rail Transit Line 6 will start on Sept 30 and finish before the end of 2024, according to local authorities.

The line starts from Xiaokaiyuanbao in western Changchun and ends at Changchun Film Studio, the authorities added.

It will pass through Changchun West Railway Station, Feiyue Road, Fangcao Street, Huayuan Road, Fuzhi Avenue, Shengtai Avenue, Tianpu Road, and Yongshun Road, linking western and eastern Changchun.

Stretching 29.57 kilometers, the new line will have 22 stations, all of which are underground and nine of which will offer transfer services.
