Northeast China’s Jilin province launched a series of cultural and tourism activities as part of the events celebrating China’s National Tourism Day on May 19.

The activity under the theme of “integrating culture and tourism and creating beautiful life,” will launch measures to help people tour across the province.

Meanwhile, exhibition areas were also set up to showcase cultural and creative products as well as intangible products.

Nearly a hundred cultural and tourism enterprises made promise for their integrity management at the launching ceremony for the activity. A symphony orchestra, along with 70 Hongqi cars, performed the song Me and My Country.

Meanwhile, 2,500 residents went for a 5-km hike in the Sculpture Park as a way to pay tribute to the Red Army's Long March.

This year, Jilin has launched a series of measures to promote tourism, including reducing ticket price for some scenic spots, holding charity performance and opening more public cultural venues to the public.

Many cities in Jilin have launched activities with characteristics, including the first Manchu culture tourism festival in Siping, tourist commodities show in Liaoyuan, and cycling around Changbai mountain in Baicheng.
