African artwork goes on display in Changchun

Hosted by Changchun World Sculpture Park, a fascinating exhibition of richly colored African paintings and sinuous wooden sculptures opened at Changchun Sculpture Museum in Changchun, the capital of Jilin province, on April 22.

The exhibition is showcasing 705 pieces of artwork, comprising 439 Makonde wood carvings and 266 paintings, which were mostly created in modern times.

Changchun residents have the opportunity to study and learn about the development of art in East Africa over the last half century through the exhibition.
