An international pottery exhibition opened to the public at the Water Culture Ecological Park in Changchun, Northeast China’s Jilin province, on Jan 10.

Running for seven years since 2011, the exhibition invited 172 artists from 44 countries and regions to display around 630 pieces of pottery.

Part of Changchun’s ambition in building itself into a cultural city in Northeast Asia, the event has become an important platform for international art exchange and promotion of the city’s economic growth.

This year’s exhibition includes two areas, an exhibition area for modern pottery and one for Longquan celadon, a type of green glazed pottery produced in Longquan, Zhejiang province.

Located in the park's No 17 building, the exhibition will last until Jan 25, opening to the public from 9:00 to 19:00 every day.
