FAW-Volkswagen Changchun Audi Q factory to launch late April
The FAW-Volkswagen Changchun Audi Q factory, invested with 6.4 billion yuan ($1.02 billion), will begin operations on April 29. It will be one of the most advanced automobile factories in China, and will produce new Audi Q5s and derivative vehicle models.

The capacity of the Audi Q factory is 150,000 cars. It is expected to create over 160 billion yuan in industrial output and 30 billion yuan in revenue.

The FAW-Volkswagen Changchun Audi Q factory uses the most advanced technology and newest standards of Volkswagen with 400 robots in welding workshops and 110 automatic robots in painting workshops.

The new Audi Q5L has been extended by 9cm especially for the Chinese market. New decorations and intelligent factors are injecting vigor into FAW-Volkswagen.

After operations of the FAW-Volkswagen Changchun Audi Q factory are underway, the second phase of the Southern Base in Foshan, Qingdan Eastern Base and Tianjin Northern Base will successively come online, forming a new strategic layout for FAW-Volkswagen.
