More than 100 migrant workers attended a conference on Nov 2 to hear a report on policies about technologies that migrant workers need in their work that was mentioned at the 19th CPC National Congress.

The report will help workers to learn more about national policies on migrant workers and raise their awareness about improving their technical skills for greater efficiency.

After the conference, the workers watched the micro film Weijia, which means small family. It tells the story of a couple who came to Changchun from Shaanxi province and live in a house provided by the labor union.

Song Jialin, the leading actor of the film and a migrant worker himself, said the flat offered by the labor union gives his family a lot of comfort and represents a great improvement to their standard of life. He said he will work harder to contribute to the construction of the country.

The activity was sponsored by the labor unions of Changchun and the Changchun Construction Engineering.
