With the idea of media convergence, 'Speed Skating Boy' gets published
Recently, China's first winter-sports themed animation, "Speed Skating Boy" was published by Changchun Press and Publication Bureau and Yu Yanshu, a well-known Chinese animator, who is also the originator of the animation.
Targeting the youth as its readers and taking IP as its core, the Speed Skating Boy aims to expand traditional Chinese culture with new form of artistic expression, which means using the idea of media convergence.
Media convergence does not mean repeating news in the newspaper, websites and mobile apps. Instead, the communication methods get renewed.

To date, cooperating with a number of network media, the animation has been released online and published in sixteen online animation platforms. A focus website, official Wechat and Weibo accounts were also set up for its promotion.
In addition, the application of AR technology attracted more readers to purchase the books in paper form.
