A growing number of key figures from around the globe have confirmed their attendance to the upcoming China-Northeast Asia Expo, in a pursuit of regional cooperation, according to the organizing committee on Thursday.

The five-day expo will kick-off tomorrow at the Changchun International Convention and Exhibition Center. The biannual event serves as an important platform to bolster economic and trade exchange among Northeast Asia countries.

"So far, preparation works are in the final stages," Yang Kai, deputy secretary-general of Jilin provincial government, also deputy director of the expo's organizing committee, said.

According to Yang, a slew of guests confirmed to be present, including 59 high-level officials from Russia, the Republic of Korea, Japan, Mongolia and other countries, and Chinese officials from central government and 17 provinces and cities.

An additional 281 associations of commerce and top executives from 133 companies listed on Fortune 500 are set to also attend.

Currently, a total of 2,775 exhibition booths have been confirmed and the expo's space was fully registered as of late July.

For the first time, the expo will set up a pavilion themed at intelligent manufacturing. In it, a wide array of high-end products, such as intelligent robots, three-dimensional, printing, smart home appliances and new energy automobiles, will be displayed.

The first Northeast Asia Cross-border E-commerce Summit, and the first Made in China 2025 Forum in Jilin are also slated to take place during the expo.
