Zhang Simin became chairman of Jilin merchants association On July 27, Zhang Simin, current president of theNeptunus Group (a Shenzhen-based medical health company), was elected as the first chairman of the Jilin Merchants Association at its establishment conference in Changchun, Jilin province.

Zhang was born in Changchun, and founded his health products company down in southeastern China's Shenzhen city in 1989, while at the same timedoing businesses in China's offshore was a trendy.

"I spent my childhood, primary school and high school in Changchun, so I feel deeply connected with my hometown," Zhangsaid. "The black soil and dense forests have nurtured bravery, kind, and adventurous Jilin people and Jilin merchants.Our association will get all Jilin merchants all over the world united and make great efforts to contribution our hometown's economic revival."

The Jilin Merchants Association, a non-government organization, aims at connecting all merchants born in Jilin – or vice versa – and do business there together in order to promote Jilin's socioeconomic development.
