39. "World of Warcraft" expansion pack lands in China

39.

“Wrath of the Lich King” is the second expansion pack for the popular computer game World of Warcraft. It has been on the market since November 2008. The 9 Computer Technology Consulting(Shanghai)Co, Ltd had secured the distribution rights, but it couldn’t finalize the deal. Later, NetEase, a massive Chinese-language content and online games provider, replaced the 9 computer and became its only agent in China. Through the storm of examination and approval, NetEase announced in July that the “World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King” had been approved by the General Administration of Press and Publication of the People’s Republic of China and would be online in August. On September 1, 2010, “Wrath of the Lich King” finally landed in China after two years of delay.
