9. The Book of Songs “world's most beautiful book

The Book of Songs from China won the title of 2010 "World's Most Beautiful Book". It is translated and annotated by linguist Xiang Xi and designed by Liu Xiangxiang, the chief art editor of Higher Education Press. It is a thread-bound Chinese book placed on a brown paper carton. The design is creative, elegant, and simple. It conveys the traditional charm of Chinese culture in the refreshing packaging of modern books. "World's most beautiful book" selection is held in Leipzig of Germany every year. The text content, paper thickness, folio size, format, and design creativity are all considered during evaluation.
