13. 2010 African cultural focus
From May to November 2010, the “2010 African cultural focus” activity successively entered more than ten provinces and cities, such as Beijing, Tianjin, Gansu, Qinghai, Ningxia, Hunan, Anhui, Henan, Qingdao and Shenzhen, bringing Chinese people a grand buffet of African culture. The activity was jointly held by the ministry of culture, the state administration of radio film and television, the general administration of press and publication, the state physical culture administration and the state administration of cultural heritage.
The “2010 African cultural focus” was a significant effort to put the spirit of the fourth meeting of the China-Africa Cooperation Forum for minister into effect, and fulfill China’s promises to the “China-Africa Cooperation Forum—Action projects of sharm el sheikh (2010—2012).” This activity laid a stable foundation to give the Chinese public a better understanding of Africa, which can improve the development of the relationship between China and Africa, and build up China’s reputation for keeping promises.
