Late-night hotspot

Ciro's Pomodoro has locations all over the world, including London, Dubai and Kuwait. The new Beijing outlet will doubtless become a late-night dining hotspot thanks to its location, but the fare is nothing to write home about.

Inside, there's a stage for live bands, tall booths for a more intimate dining experience, and a long bar extending along one side of the restaurant. But photos (hundreds of them) of owner Ciro Orsini with various celebrities hung throughout the restaurant are a little nauseating.

A two-course business set lunch (RMB 75) includes an appetizer or salad and a main. We tried the grilled calamari zucchini salad and the four-season pizza-the salad was too small, and the pizza was a tad bland.
