Cross-talk master Hou Yaowen dies at 59

Hou Yaowen, China's renowned cross-talk master, performs in Xi'an, captital city of Western China's Shannxi Province in 2006. He dies of sudden heart failure, on June 23, 2007, at the age of 59. Wang Yang, Hou's prentice was quote as saying that Hou was stricken unexpectedly with severe heart attack at home, the emergency medical staff tried their best to save the householdly beloved cross-talker's life, but ended up in no avail. People from in and out the cross-talk circle are mournfully sending and expressing their heart-felt condolence to Mr. Hou's sudden death.[Sina.com]
