BEIJING - The Communist Party of China (CPC), China's ruling party, has pledged to continue to work closely with the country's non-Communist parties and the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC).

The CPC Central Committee wrote a letter of acknowledgement to the central committees of the eight political parties and the ACFIC on Friday.

"It has always been a strategic policy of the CPC to unite all non-Communist parties and the ACFIC to jointly work for the country's prosperity, the nation's revitalization and people's happiness," the letter said.

"As the CPC has always done, we will give full play to the magic tool role the united front has played," it said.

The united front is a magic tool for pooling strength from various directions, achieving new victories in socialism with Chinese characteristics and promoting harmonious relations among the country's political parties, ethnic and religious groups, people from different walks of life and compatriots at home and abroad, the letter said.

"The Party will strive to work together with other parties with one heart and mind and with unified purpose and concerted efforts, " it said.

The CPC will stick to and improve multi-party cooperation and political consultation under the leadership of the CPC. It will also promote cohesion and pool forces among people on the most extensive scale so as to realize the goal set by the 18th CPC National Congress, it said.

The eight political parties are the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang, China Democratic League, China National Democratic Construction Association, China Association for Promoting Democracy, Chinese Peasants and Workers Democratic Party, China Zhi Gong Party, Jiu San Society and Taiwan Democratic Self-Government League.
