MACAO - At least 13 people were injured in a suspected gas explosion in the Hotel Golden Dragon of Macao on early Tuesday morning, police said.

Seven of the eight people who were injured and sent to hospitals have been discharged, the firefighters added.

The incident occurred at around 7 am local time and the glass of the main entrance of the Hotel Golden Dragon were smashed.

The area has been cordoned off and the firefighters were clearing the site.

Firefighters said they suspected that gas leakage led to the blast and some gas cylinders were found on the scene.
