SHENYANG - At least five people were killed and 13 others injured after a Beijing-bound coach rear-ended a truck Sunday in Northeast China's Liaoning province, officials said.

The accident occurred at about 3:30 pm Sunday in the Panjin section of the Beijing-Shenyang Expressway. The injured were rushed to hospitals in Panjin, according to local government officials.

An investigation is underway.
