BEIJING -- An earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale jolted northeast of Taiwan at 3:19 p.m. Beijing Time Wednesday, the US Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 109.3 km, was initially determined to be at 25.0535 degrees north latitude and 123.7829 degrees east longitude.
