Beijing beckons Expo visitors with free tickets

Visitors to the Beijing Pavilion will get free tickets and a tour guide for some of the capital's imperial gardens and parks during a week-long promotion from Wednesday.

The pavilion will hand out 1,000 to 1,500 sets of tickets and guidebooks every day. The promotion coincides with the Beijing Imperial Gardens & Parks Festival which will run from Wednesday to October 30.

Beijing is home to some historical and imperial gardens and parks, such as the Summer Palace, Beihai Park and Yuanmingyuan Garden.
