'Nepal Day' to be marked at Shanghai Expo

KATHMANDU - A detailed work plan has been formulated to make "Nepal Day" at the Shanghai Expo effective. Nepal Day will be marked at the Nepal Pavilion of the Expo on September 3.

Issuing a press release here on Thursday, Nepali Ministry of Information and Communications said the day will be marked in coordination with Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Information and Communications, Commerce and Supplies, Constituent Assembly, Federal Affairs, Parliamentary Affairs and Culture as well as Nepal Embassy in Beijing, Lumbini Development Trust and Nepal Tourism Board.

The expo held every five years is on in Shanghai since early June and will last till December. A Nepal pavilion decorated with arts and culture from Nepal has been established at the world expo.
