In an article published on Monday, the local daily "La Tercera," said Chilean Commissioner General to the Expo Hernan Somerville expressed his satisfaction with the sales of the domestically made Chilean products in Shanghai.

"The Chilean products, such as copper handicrafts, wines and pisco (alcoholic beverage) have sold surprisingly well," he said.

"Chile Pavilion at the Shanghai Expo 2010 is proved to be the global investment we projected in China. Hundreds of Chilean companies exhibit their products in this universal fair," he added.

With a total floor space of 2,500 square meters, the Chilean Pavilion has taken as its theme "the city as a place of ties and communication between people."

Chile has put on display models of successful cases to showcase its government's policy on housing, including the cases of modern cities which had managed to solve some outstanding problems.
