Landscape lighting

Landscape lighting in Shanghai will be turned on daily during Expo 2010 Shanghai to welcome guests from all over the world.

During five special periods, all landscape lighting in Shanghai will be turned on from 6:30 pm until midnight.

From May 1 to October 7, landscape lighting at the Bund, the Expo Garden and in central areas of the city will be turned on from 7 pm until 11 pm.

In suburban areas, landscape lighting will be turned on from 7 pm until 10 pm on Fridays and Saturdays.

From Oct 8 to Oct 30, landscape lighting will be turned on 30 minutes earlier but still finish at the same time.

Along with the landscape lighting, nightly light shows will be held every 30 minutes in the Expo Garden.

Suzhou Creek cruises

Cruises along Suzhou Creek began on April 30, the first cruise service on Suzhou Creek since Shanghai became an open-port city in 1843.

Six boats are available for cruises along Suzhou Creek. Suzhou boats No 1, No 2 and No 3 can serve up to 10 passengers in a single trip. Boats No 11 and No 12 can each accommodate up to 26 passengers, while Suzhou boat No 21 can accommodate up to 50 people. The cruise route starts from Danba Road pier and ends at Moganshan pier.

The 10-km trip costs 50 yuan for a single journey and 80 yuan for a round trip. The service runs daily from 9 am to 4 pm. Groups can reserve seats in advance. For more information and reservations, call 4008800862.
