Shanghai's city government refuted rumors on the Internet that transportation cards in the World Expo gift bags didn't have any balance and that tickets in the bags could be used only for entering the Expo Park and not the pavilions in it, eastday.com reported Thursday.

"Now that we have transportation cards in the gift packages, there will certainly be a balance in them," said Chen Qiwei, spokesman for Shanghai's municipal government.

"Our tickets are the entrance tickets, which are worth 160 yuan each, and people can enter all pavilions with the tickets," Chen said.
