JERUSALEM - Israeli President Shimon Peres on Sunday met with Huang Huahua, China's Guangdong province Governor, on enhancing economic and technological cooperation.
The president, mentioning the ongoing economic transformation and development in Guangdong, spoke highly of the Guangdong's energetic economy.

Huang, speaking highly of the mutual trade and technological cooperation and its great potential, told Peres that it is a good match between Israel's technological innovation capacity and local demand and market in Guangdong.
He suggested enhancing cooperation between the two sides especially in the fields of high-tech, trade and investment, culture and education, and tourism.
According to the governor, the trade volume between Guangdong and Israel stands at $1.38 billion in 2009, more than a quarter of the Sino-Israeli trade as a whole.
