China-Pakistan friendship thriving

At prestigious Peking University in Beijing this morning, Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, Masood Khan,addressed a gathering of 100 Chinese students on the 59th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China.

He said the leadership of both Pakistan and China is committed to further cementing these relations. He mentioned that during his visit to Pakistan in 2006, President Hu Jintao described the friendship between Pakistan and China as “sweeter than honey”.

Masood Khan said the Pakistan-China relationship is based on mutual trust, mutual benefit and non-interference into each other’s affairs.

The Ambassador also said trade volume between the two countries has increased to $7 billion, but there is enormous room for increased trade and investment between the two countries.
