ZHENGZHOU - An official who attended college under someone else's name 11 years ago has been fired and ten other people involved in the case punished in Weishi County of central China's Henan Province, county authorities said Tuesday.

Pang Yuehua, a former official with Weishi's Shibali Township government, has been removed from his post and expelled from the Party. And the college diploma he fraudulently obtained by using a forged identity would be canceled, said Zhang Huixia, deputy secretary of the county disciplinary inspection commission.

A teacher named Li Xinzhang and nine police officers and officials have been penalized, Zhang added without naming the policemen or officials.
