90% of Chinese video websites fall flat

A shaky business model, expensive costs and a lack of contents have decimated Chinese video websites, reducing their number to just about a score, down 90 percent from the peak of over 300 a few years ago, the Guangzhou Daily reported Friday.
Major video websites, like Tudou.com and Youku.com, are now gearing up for cooperation with domestic film companies, in a bid to secure better and authorized video contents.
