Cuban vice president meets Chinese justice minister

HAVANA: Ricardo Cabrisas, vice president of Cuba's Council of Ministers, met here Wednesday with Chinese Justice Minister Wu Aiying to discuss bilateral ties and cooperation.

Cabrisas told Wu that there is not a single sector of the Cuban economy without the Chinese presence.

He said that Cuba-China cooperative relations are very important and getting increasingly close.

Cabrisas also noted that Cuba has several joint ventures in China, even in the areas of biotechnology and public health.

Wu expressed satisfaction with her visit to the country and said that China-Cuba ties are at their best stage.

The Chinese minister arrived in Havana three days ago for the signature of a cooperation agreement between the justice ministries of the two countries.
