Rescuers found the bodies of four of the workers at 4:50 pm Monday after finding the other two bodies on Saturday and Sunday.

More than 400 cubic meters of manganese nodules crushed through the wall of a warehouse of Fengyun Manganese Co., Ltd. in Huayuan County at 1:10 pm Saturday. The manganese spilled into a nearby workshop where 35 people were working.

Twenty nine workers were rescued while six were buried.

The six were aged between 28 and 56. Five of them were local residents of Huayuan and one came from nearby Baojing County.

The company was operating illegally as the county work safety supervision bureau had ordered it to halt production two days before the accident, the spokesman said.
