The member states of the EurAsEC have maintained friendly relations with China, noted Li at a meeting with EurAsEC Secretary-General Tair Mansurov.

China is willing to see the realization of common development and prosperity by promoting regional economic cooperation, Li said.

Mansurov said the EurAsEC had made progress in economic integration in recent years, making due contribution to the development of member states and the fight against the global economic downturn.

He added that the EurAsEC was ready to strengthen cooperation with China within the framework of the SCO.

The EurAsEC, established in May 2001, now groups Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
