The Taiwan tour office to Beijing and a respective office in Taipei could be established at the end of March, according to the Taiwan tourism authority, chinanews.cn reported today.

The cross-Strait tour offices were slated to open before the Chinese New Year, but were delayed for decoration work to be completed. The two offices will be located at Chang'an Avenue in Beijing and south Dunhua Road in Taipei.

"The cross-Strait tourism isn't affected. The tour office establishment is more of a symbol gesture," said Wayne Liu, an official with Taiwan tourism authority, according to the report.
