NANNING - At least seven people were killed and 50 others injured after a passenger bus collided with a sports utility vehicle and rolled down a valley in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Monday, police said.

The accident happened at about 2 p.m. on the Shuinan Highway linking Hechi City's Shuiren with Nanning City, the regional capital, according to Hechi police.
Rescuers found seven bodies at the site of the accident. Among the injured, 33 were in serious conditions as of 9 p.m., according to Hechi's public information department.
All the injured have been transported to hospital.
The bus, carrying 53 people, rolled down a 100-meter deep ravine after veering off the road.
The driver of the SUV, which had four people onboard, was seriously injured.
More than 350 rescuers and 15 ambulances and fire trucks were sent to the scene.
Police are investigating the accident.
