Peppers sales slump due to lack of demand

Pepper famers face a tough Spring Festival after they failed to meet their costs this year due to lack of demand, xinhuanet.com reported today.
The price of pepper is 0.4 yuan ($0.5 cent) per gram, lower than the cost of 0.5 yuan (0.7 cent). Many farmers have had to throw peppers away like garbage due to being unable to sell the produce.
