New 15-million-yuan school set to be demolished

A newly built primary school worth of 15 million yuan ($2.2 million) may have to be demolished because it stands in the way of a planned business district, cnr.cn reported today.
The primary school in Taijiang district of Fuzhou, the capital of Fujian province, has a 100 years history, but was just rebuilt, the report said.
The students in the school are said to have transferred to other schools in the district.
All students and parents have been informed about the move.
