No basis to “baseless” navy base report

Beijing: A media report that China’s navy is setting up an overseas supply base is "totally baseless," according to a statement by the Defense Ministry.
The navy's escort fleet in the Gulf of Aden and Somali waters is supplied at sea and by regular docking, the ministry said Saturday in a statement on its website.
The ministry accused the media of sensationalizing, but did not specify.
