Global forum to be held at UN pavilion on Expo

SHANGHAI: A series of global forums will be held at UN pavilion on the World Expo Shanghai 2010, Dr. Awni Behnam, the United Nations Commission General for the cultural gala, said here Tuesday.

The forums will focus on city development, health industry, environmental protection, climate change, life science and beneficence.

They will begin with a world health forum that scheduled for May 2 to 4, according to Behnam.

Participants in the forums would come from 100 cities, regions and organizations, he said.

The Expo 2010 will begin on May 1 and last through October 31, which is expected to attract a record 70 million visitors.
