Last stop for fake tickets?

Train tickets featuring two-dimensional security bar codes to prevent the production of fake tickets will be launched by year end, Qianlong.com reported Monday.
The railway management department decided to upgrade the former one-dimensional bar codes to be two-dimensional with new technology. Work will begin on the new tickets December 10 with a transition period to take place at the end of this year. Only new tickets will be allowed starting January 1, 2010, the report said.
