Success gratifying worldwide Chinese

Chinese worldwide are gratified with China's accelerating growth that opened a fresh new look in the global arena, a notable Malaysian with Chinese origin said on Friday.

Tan Kai Hee, secretary-general of the Malaysia-China Friendship Association (MCFA) made this remark in Kuala Lumpur on the sidelines of a local business meeting.

Tan, a 72-year-old entrepreneur, said that a fast-growing China has brought about a strong but peaceful force for the world.

Besides that, he also said that insisting on opening up its doors to trade and implementing the market economy are proved to be the right policies.

This is evident when the prevailing economic crisis had relatively little impact on China, added Tan.

Tan believed that China's economic model could be the one widely adopted by countries all over the world.

China's success in economy lay in its ability to provide opportunities to other crisis hit countries to recover as well as lending helping hands to the less developed nations, said Tan.

After experiencing 30 years of speedy growth, China was able to maintain the trend in the years to come, Tan said.
